This page explains what information is collected when you visit clearpro.co.za, and what it is used for. ClearPro Solutions is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-WKHZH9T1H3), a service provided by Google. It places cookies on your device and sends information about your visit to Google, which may process it outside South Africa.

Google Analytics tells us things like which pages are popular, how long people stay, and roughly where visitors are located. Google Analytics 4 does not record full IP addresses. We do not use it for advertising, remarketing or audience targeting.

You can read how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/privacy. If you would rather not be included, install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser settings. The website works normally either way.

Our own visit statistics

Separately from Google, we keep a basic record of:

• Which page you viewed, and when
• An approximate area (town and province) worked out from your internet connection
• How you reached us — a search engine, a social media link, or typing the address directly
• Whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer
• A random reference that lasts only until you close the browser tab, so repeat pages in one visit are not counted twice

This part does not use cookies. Your IP address is converted to an approximate town and then replaced with a one-way code that cannot be turned back into an address, so these statistics are not linked to any individual.

The online quote tool

If you use our quote tool, we record the options you chose and the price shown, even if you do not complete the request. This tells us whether our pricing is putting people off. Unless you enter your name, phone number or email address, that record is not linked to anyone.

If you do submit your details, we keep them so we can respond and provide the service you asked about.

Who else receives information

• Google — through Google Analytics, as described above.
• ip-api.com — your IP address is checked against this public lookup service at the moment of the visit to work out the approximate town. We do not store it there.

We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else for marketing.

How long we keep it

Our own visit statistics are kept for up to 24 months. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in that service. Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to serve you as a customer, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because our visit statistics are not linked to any individual, there is usually nothing to retrieve — but if you have sent us an enquiry, we can find and remove those details on request.
